Research interests
My research is focused on observations of stars and their environments at high spatial resolution. At the beginning of my carrier, I primarily studied stars at the end of their stellar evolution, specifically, low mass Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars and high mass Wolf-Rayet (WR) stars. I investigated stellar atmospheres and dust formation in the vicinity of these stars. My present research is mainly related to calibration/validation of large stellar surveys. I particularly focus on observations of stars that will serve as reference stars for large spectroscopic surveys of the Milky Way e.g. Gaia, Gaia-ESO, 4MOST etc.
