Catalogue files and Databases:

After the past Catalogues of Fundamental Stars we now finished work on parts of the new FK6. It combines Hipparcos data and those of the FK5. Probable single stars have been published already and are available online as well.

For a much greater number of stars from the Hipparcos Catalogue, there are similar combinations available: Using additional ground based data from GC and TYC2, a statistically more reliable astrometry can be given. Such data together with the FK6 data build the ARIHIP. For each star, the best solution (of all possible combinations) was selected and is given in the ARIHIP together with several additional hints on companions.

ARICNS contains data of the Third Catalog of Nearby Stars (CNS3). Astrometric, photometric, and spectroscopic measurements are combined to provide for all known stars within 25pc the best available information on type, position, and motion.

ARIAPFS: This database contains the "apparent star positions" from the catalogues FK5, FK6, and Hipparcos. From the year 2000 on, only probable single stars in FK6 and Hipparcos are given for every day.

DMUBIN contains about 7000 Delta-µ double stars. Such stars show statistical relevant differences between proper motions (pm) resulting from ground based observations with large epoch differences and pm resulting from observations with much shorter timescales, eg. Hipparcos results. These deviations are hints on the existence of companions.

CLUSTERDATA is a comprehensive set of model data, extracted from a self-consistent evolution model (2-D Fokker Planck model), of (globular) star clusters. The projected ellipticity and the dynamical age of the cluster, which are well observable, are used as basic parameters. Today our models are the only ones, which predict 2-dimensional data for observations (density, rotational velocity, velocity dispersion).

The publications of ARI members are documented in the ARIPRINT database. From the year 1897 up to the year 2005, it shows all publications with one or more authors from ARI.

The ARIBIB presents references to literature from the remote past until the middle of the year 2000. You can find the recent publications further down in the navigation column.
